It wasn’t the run that Greek import Zoi Faki expected when she arrived in the Philippines to boost the Choco Mucho Flying Titans’ hopes in the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference.

Coming off a second-place finish in the All-Filipino Conference, many fans expected Choco Mucho to move one step closer to bringing home their first-ever PVL crown.

But struggling without superstar Sisi Rondina, Faki and the Flying Titans found themselves near the bottom of the standings.

Despite this, Faki continued to show her fight, helping Choco Mucho nearly secure a quarterfinal slot. But they ultimately fell short in their final preliminary match against the PLDT High Speed Hitters.

In that game, the 26-year-old Faki had to sit out the match due to an illness, forcing the Flying Titans to play with an All-Filipino squad.

As she exited the PVL, Faki expressed gratitude for her stint with Choco Mucho and her experience playing in the Philippines.

“Salamat Choco Mucho. Salamat coaches and teammates. Salamat Fans, salamat PVL,” Faki wrote in an Instagram post.

“This has been one of the most fun volleyball experience I’ve had so far in my pro career. Thank you, Philippines. I will always be so grateful for my experience here,” she added.

For now, it’s back to the drawing board for the Flying Titans as they shift their focus to the All-Filipino Conference once more.
