No Filipina was picked in this year's KOVO Asian Quota Draft
Tots Carlos’ international volleyball debut will have to wait.
The Creamline star went undrafted in the 2024 KOVO Asian Quota Draft, which wrapped up Wednesday in Korea.
Alongside Carlos, Chery Tiggo’s Mylene Paat and Petro Gazz’s MJ Phillips were also not selected.
Carlos and Paat missed the opening day of the PVL All-Filipino semifinals Tuesday, participating in the KOVO tryouts in line with the Asian Quota Draft.
Their teams both suffered losses to open the PVL postseason. Phillips was exempted from this year’s tryouts after being picked fifth overall last year, although the star middle blocker didn’t make the cut this time around.
Middle blocker Yu Zhang was picked first by the Gwangju Al Peppers, taking the spot previously held by Phillips.
