It's no secret within the sports circle that anywhere Alyssa Valdez goes, she's sure to gain a new friend.
A few days ago, the Creamline Cool Smashers team captain was seen hanging out with various celebrities at the housewarming party of actress Kathryn Bernardo.
Fans were quick to gush over the friendship between the volleyball star and the showbiz royal.

Valdez revealed that they have been friends for years, dating back to when she was still playing for the Ateneo Blue Eagles.
"Since UAAP days, kasi Kathryn has [been] very supportive talaga. She's been messaging me, watching games din talaga," she said after the match on Thursday.
"Luckily, nagkakatugma rin kami ng schedules so nagkikita-kita rin. Even off cam nag-i-invite din si Kathryn. I try to invite her also kapag may free time siya. So ganoon lang," she added.
On Thursday, the Cool Smashers pulled off a crucial win over sister team Choco Mucho Flying Titans as both teams now carry an identical 8-2 win-loss record in the PVL All-Filipino Conference.
While more than 17,000 fans flocked to the Smart Araneta Coliseum to watch the mega showdown between the two popular teams, fans--and even reporters--were curious if Bernardo would show up to the games one of these days.
"Oh no, let's see, let's see. No pressure Kathryn," said Valdez.
"But I think she really wants to watch the games and support the team din talaga. She's very updated. Hopefully we can see her soon," she added.
In a society where thriving women are pitted against each other, Valdez and Bernardo prove that two queens can be friends. Queen supporting queen.
