Fresh from a long layoff period, Choco Mucho barely showed any signs of rust after demolishing Galeries Tower in straight sets, 25-13, 25-19, 25-17, in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena Tuesday night.

The Flying Titans, who were coming off nine days of rest, asserted dominance over the Highrisers en route to a 6-1 record, forging a three-way logjam atop the standings with Creamline and PLDT.

Chery Nunag emerged as the Player of the Game, finishing with 12 points built on seven attacks, three aces, and two blocks.

Nunag played an instrumental role in the decisive third frame, where the Flying Titans overturned a 6-8 deficit for a commanding 18-10 lead.

Sisi Rondina also made her all-around presence felt, scattering a game-high 16 points, eight digs, and three receptions.

Isa Molde pitched in nine markers, while Royse Tubino contributed seven points in the winning cause.

Maika Ortiz anchored above the net with three of her five points coming from blocks for Choco Mucho, which overwhelmed Galeries Tower on all fronts.

The Flying Titans outgunned the Highrisers with a 42-33 spiking differential, while mounting a 8-1 block disparity and 7-3 ace gap.

Audrey Paran paced the losing side with nine points as Galeries Tower fell to 2-5 for joint-eighth with Akari.

Choco Mucho aims to further bolster its semis bid when it takes on Capital1, while Galeries Tower seeks to get back on winning track when it faces Akari on April 6, Saturday.

Both matches will be held at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex.
