Cignal picked up its second straight win in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference after drubbing Galeries Tower on Saturday, and team captain Ces Molina attributed their strong 2-0 start to total team effort.
"I think 'yung performance namin, we gave our best today. Nakaka-proud sa mga teammates ko kasi kahit sino naman ang ipasok mo talagang nagco-contribute. So happy lang na naka-straight sets kami today," said Molina.
Molina emerged as the lone double-digit scorer with 14 in Cignal's 25-14, 25-16, 25-17 rout of Galeries Tower, but nine other HD Spikers chipped in at least a point in the winning cause.
Gel Cayuna orchestrated the offense to the tune of 15 excellent sets, allowing Cignal to dominate the opposition with a 41-22 spiking differential.
Dawn Macandili-Catindig then made her usual defensive presence felt with 14 digs and six receptions.
For such a collective effort, Molina believes that the HD Spikers are steadily building good synergy.
"I think nakukuha naman namin 'yung tamang chemistry and jelling kasama 'yung mga bagong players namin," 5-foot-9 outside hitter shared.
Molina hopes that Cignal continues to develop as a cohesive unit in a bid to return to the podium.
"So sana magtuloy tuloy pa 'to sa kalagitnaan hanggang dulo ng conference na 'to," she said.
"Siyempre ngayon nasa eliminations palang so tina-target talaga namin na every game makuha namin para makapasok pa rin kami sa podium."
