Ravena is packing some serious heat in her sneaker game in 2024, bringing out the Kobe 6 Kay Yow.
Also nicknamed “Think Pink,” the striking colorway of Bryant’s sixth signature shoe with Nike was originally released in 2011 in partnership with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
While it never got a true general re-release, the Think Pink colorway returned some 10 years later in Protro form.
It’s what Dani has.
“I'm not really knowledgeable of the exact shoe but I know it's a rare Kobe na gift sa akin ni Kiefer, ni Manong,” Dani said on her gameday sneaker choice.
“It's pink and I love pink. Wala lang, just very grateful na may caring akong brother para ibigay sa akin 'yung shoes na 'yun,” she added.
The Kay Yows by themselves would be more than enough to make any sneakerhead take notice.
But since they were a gift from a brother she now rarely sees, Dani’s Kobe 6s take a whole new meaning.
“I think he got it for me for my birthday talaga. Nabigay niya lang noong Christmas din kasi we visited him. Parang 'yun 'yung love language namin para sa isa't isa, we all know lahat kami sneakerhead,” Dani said.
“So alam niya 'yung value ng shoes na 'yan, it's not even kung gaano siya ka-rare o kung gaano siya ka-expensive, but it's more on like naiisip niya ako while playing abroad,” she added.
