The PLDT High Speed Hitters completed a hard-earned sweep of the Nxled Chameleons, 25-17, 25-23, 25-22, in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena on Tuesday.

Kim Fajardo churned out the offense with 19 excellent sets, setting the tone for the High Speed Hitters' second victory in as many matches.

"Happy na medyo natuloy namin yung momentum from last game pero ayun nga marami pa ring aayusin. Mabigat yung next na kalaban, mga susunod na kalaban, so magpi-prepare pa kami," PLDT head coach Rald Ricafort said.

The seasoned playmaker, who also had a point in the rout, got things going for PLDT, which outgunned Nxled with 43-31 attack differential.

Savi Davison topscored with 13, all of which coming from attacks, while collecting 10 digs and 10 receptions.

Jessey De Leon contributed nine spikes and two aces for an 11-point output, while Majoy Baron made a living out of Fajardo's quick setups and finished with 10 markers.

Kath Arado patrolled the floor with 29 digs and 12 receptions.

The High Speed Hitters pounced on a slow start from the Chameleons as Fajardo activated the offense early, allowing Davison to heat up right from the get go.

Nxled managed to keep in step with the PLDT in the second set, but the former had costly errors from the service that allowed the latter to snatch a two-set buffer.

In the decisive third frame, the Chameleons seized control with a 8-4 edge but the High Speed Hitters flipped the deficit to a 23-20 cushion.

De Leon then put PLDT at match point before Cam Victoria coughed out an attack error two sequences later that sealed the deal.

Ivy Lacsina paced the losing side with 12 points, nine receptions and seven digs, while Krich Macaslang had seven markers.

PLDT aims to stretch its run to three games when it collides with Petro Gazz on March 2, Saturday.

Nxled, on the other hand, seeks for a breakthrough when it takes on Cignal on March 7, Thursday.

Both matches will be held at the PhilSports Arena and will be aired on One Sports, One Sports+, and the Pilipinas Live app.
