Justine Jazareno is feeling the warmth and the love from the Akari Chargers, despite taking a leave of absence this 2024 PVL All-Filipino season due to her pregnancy.

Jazareno acknowledged the support and trust from the pink-and-black squad as the former DLSU Lady Spiker was present in a team gathering event for the Akari teams with the NXLED Chameleons just a few weeks ago.

“I feel na sobrang welcome ako and love ako ng team. Kasi syempre, hindi naman lahat ganito yung nararamdaman and wini-welcome. Masaya din ako kasi nandito pa rin sila para sa’kin and sinasama nila ako sa lahat ng gatherings,” Jazareno said in a video posted by the team.

Justine, for her part, is returning the favor with her cheers for Akari.

“Hindi rin naman ako titigil sa pagsuporta sa team,” she added.

Jazareno joined the Chargers last year and immediately became the main defensive anchor of the young Akari squad.

In the meantime, the Chargers have tapped FEU Lady Tamaraw libero Max Juangco to take over libero duties along with veteran Bang Pineda.

And with the addition of former best middle Blocker Ced Domingo and veteran power hitter Grethcel Soltones to the squad, Akari is one of the teams to watch in this season-opening All-Filipino tournament.
