No better way to keep your claws sharpened.
Hoping to further fine-tune their systems ahead of the volleyball wars, the Cignal HD Spikers and the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses figured in a friendly match on Thursday.
The HD Spikers visited the Quadricentennial Pavilion in España to whip the Golden Tigresses into peak shape ahead of the UAAP Season 86 volleyball tournament, which starts Saturday, February 17.
It was a relatively easy bout to arrange, as Cignal head coach Shaq Delos Santos reportedly returned to the UST coaching staff to help fellow seasoned tactician Kungfu Reyes.
With Reyes and Delos Santos at the helm, the Golden Tigresses are all set to open their campaign versus the National University Lady Bulldogs on Sunday, February 18, 4 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Cignal, on the other hand, has also been sparing no effort in its buildup to the PVL All-Filipino Conference, which goes into full swing on February 20.
The HD Spikers, who engaged in a tune-up match with the Lady Bulldogs last February 1, are coming off a second-place finish in the PNVF Champions League less than a week ago.
Cignal will jumpstart its title bid against the Akari Chargers on Saturday, February 24, 4 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
These games will be airing live on One Sports, One Sports+, and the Pilipinas Live app.
