A picture paints a thousand words.

In the case of Choco Mucho Flying Titans ace Des Cheng, the words may not be as plenty, but her pictures did show that she's quite happy.

It's nice to see her still in high spirits despite suffering an ACL tear in her right knee last month, which cut short her stint in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference.

She was having a strong run for Choco Mucho, which made her setback even more frustrating. But while it's easy to sulk and put up a wall, Cheng has chosen to still immerse herself with the team and provide moral support.

On Sunday, she posted on Instagram Story a series of pictures from their practice that day. She didn't write long captions or descriptions, just a few words here and there. But her joyful feeling was pretty apparent.

In a photo of rising star Thang Ponce, Cheng wrote, "Happy pill."

Cheng, meanwhile, included a salute emoji in a photo of high-flying spiker Sisi Rondina, who apparently also takes inspiration from the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant.

The 27-year-old Cheng also shared candid snaps of her other teammates like Denden Lazaro-Revilla.

It's always tough mentally to recover from a serious injury. But it always helps to have a support group. It's clear that Cheng considers Choco Mucho a sweet solace. Her happy place. Her safe space.

For sure, when she bounces back from her setback, Cheng will be a picture of great resolve.

The Flying Titans will return to action this Tuesday against the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.

Catch it live at 6 p.m. on One Sports, One Sports+, and the Pilipinas Live app.
