Eya Laure is undoubtedly one of brightest talents in women’s sports today. If she isn’t already, pretty soon she’ll become a bona fide superstar. But of course, it all depends on when her full potential shall be unleashed. Remember, the former UST Growling Tigress is only 24 years old. At the rate she’s going, it’s hard to put a ceiling on her ongoing ascent.

At the moment, Laure is making a name for herself in the PVL as a member of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers. There’s no doubt that Eya has come a long way in her volleyball career. In appreciation of her colorful journey, the prolific scorer went on Facebook and posted a throwback photo from 8 years ago.

She was a bit leaner, a bit wide-eyed, but possessed the same fire fans are used to seeing these days. The image was taken when she was still a high schooler in 2015 and it perfectly depicted Laure’s tremendous growth, both as an athlete and a person in general. Nonetheless, Eya was already killing it during that period.

Check out her accolades as junior UST spiker.

UAAP Season 75 Juniors "Rookie of the Year" (2012)

UAAP Season 76 Juniors champion, "Best setter" (2013)

UAAP Season 77 Juniors "Best attacker" (2014)

UAAP Season 78 Juniors "Season's Most Valuable Player" (2015)

Now, Eya and the rest of the Crossovers are gearing up for a strong push in the PVL’s upcoming season-ending All-Filipino Conference.
