The Creamline Cool Smashers had a major flex during their opening match in the PVL Invitational Conference. Right from the get-go, the ladies in pink showed off what a powerhouse they are by sweeping the revamped Chery Tiggo Crossovers. Flexing the hardest for Creamline was Tots Carlos who finished with a game-high 24 points off 21 attacks.

Also, among the highlights in Creamline’s masterful victory at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City last Tuesday was the return of Alyssa Valdez. Recovered from her knee injury, the Phenom chipped in 3 points in her first game back in the PVL.

On Wednesday night, it was revealed that another fabulous moment transpired in the Cool Smashers’ spectacular performance against the Crossovers. Apparently, team’s star middle blocker Celine Domingo executed a move that is rarely seen in volleyball.

Photographer Reychel Ann Domingo captured the play and labeled the picture “Ballerina spike by @clndmgo.” By the way, @clndmgo is Celine’s Instagram handle.

So, how did the former FEU Tamaraws product react to her new signature move? Well, she shared the photo on her IG, and judging from her caption, it’s safe to say she laughed it off but not without a hint of confusion.

“HAHAHAHA ‘di ko na rin alam,” she wrote.

Whether she did the ballerina spike intentionally or not, Creamline’s fans won’t have a problem with it as long as Domingo continues to help her team pile up the Ws. Against Chery Tiggo, the 24-year-old volleybelle scored 6 points. Expect her to bring more of that power and grace, and maybe another ballerina spike or two, in Creamline’s following games.

The Cool Smashers are set to take on the debuting Gerflor Defenders today, Thursday, at 1:30 p.m.
