The Cignal HD Spikers on Friday announced Sgt. Gelai Nunag as their latest member for the PVL Invitational Conference.
Nunag is the second member of the Army Black Mamba Energy Drink Lady Troopers to join Cignal, after the squad in green decided to sit out the midseason conference.
The libero will be reuniting with Sgt. Jovelyn Gonzaga, who is returning to indoor volleyball—and the Cignal HD Spikers—after a short stint with beach volleyball.
Nunag was one of the top performers for Army, consistently making the top five per week in terms of digs and receptions.
Cignal has been drawn in Group B with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, Petro Gazz Angels, and expansion squads Farm Fresh Foxies and Foton Tornadoes.
The HD Spikers will see action right on opening day, June 27, as they take on the Angels at 4 p.m.
