Remember when you used to play games along the street—whether it's basketball, volleyball, or even good old-fashioned patintero, luksong-tinik, sipa, and tumbang preso?

The 29-year-old Alyssa Valdez of the Creamline Cool Smashers just relived her childhood days as she played along the street with assistant coach Karlo Santos and fellow volleyball pro Josh Villanueva.

"Childhood core memory," Valdez wrote on her Instagram story.

"It used to be just like this. Spike-receive sa daan, 'tas titigil 'pag may dadaan."

"Those were the days," Villanueva added.

Looks like Ate Ly is getting better as she continues the road to recovery.

After sitting out the PVL All-Filipino Conference, Valdez did get back to the court as she played as service specialist for the Philippines during the 32nd Southeast Asian Games—she even scored the winning spike against Singapore.

The former Ateneo Blue Eagle seems roaring to get back for the defending champions, if this dune buggy ride in Dubai is any indication.

Here's to hoping Valdez will be able to get more time during the PVL Invitational Conference. Her return alongside the Creamline debut of beach volleyball recruit Bernadeth Pons are two more reasons for the fans to tune in.
