Dell Palomata has been a key cog for the PLDT High Speed Hitters in the PVL. With her size and skills, Palomata helped lead the team to new heights, the latest was a semifinals appearance in the All-Filipino conference.
Unbeknownst to many, Palomata has a secret weapon which she revealed in this hilarious video posted on the team’s official Instagram page.
“Gusto n'yo ba malaman kung saan nanggagaling lakas ko?” she asked fans on the said video.
Turned out, the lanky middle blocker has an additional thumb. Yes, you read it right: she has 11 fingers.
Apparently, that gives her, in her words, “extra lakas, extra block.”
Polydactyly is the condition in which a person is born with one or more extra fingers. The towering volleybelle, however, did not disclose if she has that same condition. What's clear is: she doesn't mind.
Palomata is expected to take the same major role when the PVL Invitational unfurls late this month. The team is hopeful it can finally crack the finals this time.
