One of the most high-profile NBA names to grace the PBA, Bol Bol arrives in the Philippines to reinforce the TNT Tropang 5G’s upcoming Commissioner’s Cup title defense.
The newest — and perhaps tallest — KaTropa has arrived.
Bol Bol touched down in the Philippines and is set to suit up for the TNT Tropang 5G as the team gears up for next month’s title defense in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
TNT shared photos of the 26-year-old player being welcomed at the airport by team manager Jojo Lastimosa.
Standing 7-foot-3, Bol is one of the tallest imports in recent PBA history and among the most high-profile names to join the league.
Before joining TNT, the son of former NBA player Manute Bol spent six seasons in the US league by playing three years with the Denver Nuggets, one with the Orlando Magic, and two with the Phoenix Suns.
His best NBA campaign came in 2022-23, when he averaged 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds in 33 games.
The 44th overpick back in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat, Bol’s arrival comes as TNT’s original import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson suffered an Achilles injury while playing for the Meralco Bolts in the East Asia Super League (EASL).
