Ginebra held off San Miguel to draw first blood, 99-90, in their PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup semifinal showdown at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao Sunday, Jan. 4.

The Gin Kings led 39-27, sputtered, but did just enough in the end to start strong in the best-of-seven series.
