Ginebra overcame a twice-to-beat disadvantage to return to the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals.

This after the fifth-seeded Gin Kings got the best of No. 4 Converge, 99-98, in overtime of their do-or-die quarterfinal match at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao Sunday, Dec. 28.

A semifinal appearance remains elusive for the FiberXers, who have yet to get past the quarterfinals.

Ginebra will face San Miguel in a best-of-seven duel in the penultimate round.
