This as the Elasto Painters got the better of Magnolia, 101-92, in their PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup match at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Bahrain.
Rain or Shine hiked its record to 8-2, perched alone on top of the leaderboard.
The Elasto Painters will be one of the four teams enjoy a twice-to-beat bonus in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, the Hotshots aren’t exactly out of the race for the Top 4 but their chances narrowed with their fourth loss in 10 games.
Rain or Shine will wrap up its back-to-back games in Bahrain and its elimination round campaign against Ginebra at the same venue.
The match tips off at 11:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
