Juan Gomez de Liaño and the rest of Converge look to bounce back and strengthen their bid for a Top Four finish when they clash with Meralco in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup Sunday, December 14.

Match is set at 7:30 p.m. at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo.

At joint third with Magnolia and TNT with their similar 6-3 records, Converge remains firmly in the hunt for a twice-to-beat bonus for the best four teams at the end of the eliminations.

But the FiberXers are coming off a 92-98 setback to Rain or Shine that stalled their momentum.

With the standings tightening, every remaining game carries added weight.

Gomez de Liaño still shone in that loss with his all-around effort of 20 points, nine rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block, continuing his strong rookie campaign.

Larry Muyang provided support with 18 markers and nine boards, while Justine Baltazar dominated the glass with 10 points and 21 rebounds.

A key question heading into the matchup is the status of Justin Arana, who missed the team's match against the Elasto Painters due to an ankle injury. His availability could prove crucial against the physical Bolts frontline.
