Alec Stockton and Converge look to build on their gritty bounce-back win when they duke it out with Ginebra in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao Friday, Nov. 14.

The FiberXers, now at joint fifth at 4-2 with their fellow early pacesetter Magnolia, had to grind through a tough outing against Blackwater before escaping with a 99–94 victory.

Stockton was the hero of the night, erupting for 28 points along with two rebounds, two steals and two blocks to steady Converge down the stretch.

Before Stockton’s closing act, super rookie Juan Gomez de Liaño set the tone early with 11 first-half points. He finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals in another all-around effort.

Justine Baltazar continued to be a stabilizing force with 11 points, 14 boards and seven assists, while Justin Arana contributed an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double.
