San Miguel squandered a double-digit lead but steadied its nerves at endgame to squeeze past Magnolia, 94-92, in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Montalban Friday night, Nov. 7.
The Beermen thus picked up their fourth straight victory after a forgettable 0-2 start to the conference where they are the defending champions.

The Hotshots dropped to 4-2 to tie their conqueror, missing the opportunity to rejoin TNT and Rain or Shine on top of the heap.

Don Trollano made up for a one-game absence due to back spasms, producing 29 points and six rebounds in just over 19 minutes of play.
The Beermen are keen to sustain this surge when they collide with Titan Ultra on Nov. 12.
