Scottie Thompson and the rest of Ginebra will look to build on their one-sided win over NLEX to get a winning streak going in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup.
Scottie Thompson and the rest of Ginebra may have easily pressed the panic button as they limped early in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup.
Four games into the conference, the Gin Kings found themselves in joint eighth spot with Blackwater with their identical 1-3 records.
But Thompson has reasons to feel better Sunday night, Nov. 2, as his squad checked a two-game slide with a 104-74 shellacking of erstwhile co-leader NLEX.

“Feeling good, siyempre. Nakabalik kami, nakakuha kami ng panalo,” Thompson said after the match at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
“'Yon lang ang gusto namin, ang makakuha ng magandang panalo and magkaroon ng momentum.”

Ginebra eyes first win streak
Against the Road Warriors, everything clicked for the Gin Kings right off the bat.
With Stephen Holt leading Ginebra's early rampage, the fan favorites zoomed to a 26-9 advantage in the first period.
They did not look back from there, with NLEX never tasting the lead until the final buzzer as it got buried by as much as 30 points.
Thompson himself was at his best, coming up with all-around numbers of 12 points, six rebounds, and 11 assists to complement Japeth Aguilar and Holt, who combined for 45 markers.
The former PBA MVP is optimistic that Ginebra's emphatic response against the Road Warriors could be a springboard for more success for his squad.
“Sana. Malaking bagay sa amin ‘to," said Thompson.
"Mas maganda 'yong next game makuha pa namin para makuha ang momentum at makabawi sa mga struggles na nangyayari samin ngayon,” said Thompson.
“We trust each other. We stay together through ups and downs.”
