Phoenix, now 1-2, is coming off a hard-fought 81-87 loss to NLEX. After falling behind by 20 points, the Fuel Masters mounted an inspired rally, with Rivero leading the charge.

The former Gilas guard delivered a career-best performance of 22 points, including two clutch triples that brought Phoenix to within striking distance in the final minutes.

Jason Perkins provided steady inside presence with 15 points, while Kai Ballungay posted a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double. Despite the loss, the game showcased the team’s resilience under first-year head coach Willy Wilson.

Phoenix hopes to carry that same fight into their matchup against Converge (2-1), which is coming off a dominant 128-108 victory over Terrafirma.

Rivero’s consistency and leadership will be key as the Fuel Masters aim to get back on track and even their record early in the elimination round.
