The Dyip (1-1) are fresh off a confidence-boosting 97-91 upset over Robert Bolick-less NLEX, where rookie JM Bravo impressed with 18 points and eight rebounds.
Jerrick Ahanmisi backed him up with 14 points, including a clutch jumper that helped seal the win, while Paolo Hernandez stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, seven rebounds, and six steals.
Ahmad Hanapi and Louie Sangalang also provided solid support, combining for 24 points.
Now, with Maverick Ahanmisi joining the fold following a trade with Ginebra, the Dyip hope to have found the veteran presence to complement their youthful energy.
The seasoned guard is expected to bring leadership, stability, and much-needed playmaking to coach Ronald Tubid’s scrappy lineup.
