Defending champion San Miguel refused to be buried in a 0-3 hole, knocking down Rain or Shine, 111-93, in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Montalban Sunday, Oct. 19.

The Beermen found themselves in unfamiliar territory, bowing to NLEX and Phoenix to start their campaign.

But they finally found their groove to finally barge into the win column.

The Elasto Painters, meanwhile, could not ride the momentum of their opening victory against Meralco to fall to a 1-1 slate.

San Miguel hopes to carry this momentum as it heads to the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, where it will take on Ginebra Sunday, Oct. 26.

Match is at 6 p.m. (Dubai time)

Meanwhile, Rain or Shine has recovery in mind as it battles Blackwater Friday, Oct. 24, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Match is at 5:15 p.m.
