Ryan Reyes is staying with TNT in the PBA, after all.

But the recently-retired Reyes will remain a Tropang 5G in a different capacity, as he was appointed player development coach.

The team announced this on social media on Friday, October 17.

Before hanging up his sneakers last month, Reyes helped TNT capture seven championships in 15 seasons.

The 2008 Rookie of the Year also won one with Sta. Lucia, the team thaat drafted him No. 3 overall, before moving on to the MVP-owned TNT.

Known more as a defensive player, Reyes normed 6.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals.

He was hounded by injuries in his final season with TNT, which came two wins short of a PBA Grand Slam.

Like most sportswriters, Jan Ballesteros once dreamed of becoming a professional hooper. But he learned the hard way that it’s not for everyone.

He continues to be involved in the sport he loves, but this time as a member of the PBA Press Corps. Aside from primarily covering the PBA, he is also assigned to cover Gilas Pilipinas.
