Dalph Panopio showed no jitters in his debut as he was instrumental in the Blackwater Bossing’s win over Terrafirma in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup.
Dalph Panopio did not look exactly happy after his triumphant PBA debut Friday night, Oct. 10.
The third overall pick in the recent draft found his and the rest of Blackwater’s play still wanting despite crushing Terrafirma, 107-87, in the Season 50 Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
“I think we've got to do better next time. We can't be satisfied about this win. We've got to keep working and be hungry,” said the 26-year-old guard during the post-game press conference.

With eyes on him in his first game, the Fil-Italian actually delivered, churning out 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block.
But Panopio knows he has his work cut out for him if he wants to help elevate Blackwater’s play.

While he felt there was much to improve for the Bossing, Panopio said he is right where he belongs.
“Before I got drafted, all I wanted to do was be in the perfect team that is the best fit,” Panopio said.
“I feel like since the first workout that I had since the draft, I feel like this is the team for me.”

He continues to be involved in the sport he loves, but this time as a member of the PBA Press Corps. Aside from primarily covering the PBA, he is also assigned to cover Gilas Pilipinas.
