Raffy Verano tried out for a spot with the Magnolia Hotshots, after he was released by the Phoenix Fuel Masters at the end of PBA Season 49.
Just days before kicking off PBA Season 50, Magnolia made one more move.
The Hotshots signed free agent Raffy Verano to load up their lineup that will lock horns with rival Ginebra to start the Philippine Cup on Sunday, October 5.

Magnolia made the announcement on social media on Thursday, October 2.
Released by the Phoenix Fuel Masters at the end of the season, Verano found a new home with the Magnolia Hotshots.

The deal, however, is only for one conference, his agent Marvin Espiritu told One Sports.
The former Ateneo Blue Eagle joins a team eager to start over with new coach LA Tenorio but still eyeing playoff success.
In the offseason, Tenorio and the Hotshots also added Javi Gomez de Liaño and incoming rookie Gab Gomez to their fold.
