Four-time PBA champion Stanley Pringle is joining his second PBA team in less than a year, now donning the Elasto Painters' jersey and bolstering Rain or Shine's already stacked backcourt rotation.
Rain or Shine has a new "Stan" in town.
In a stunning move move, the Elasto Painters announced the signing of four-time champion Stanley Pringle to the team on Tuesday, July 15. At 38, Pringle is expected to bring not only his scoring ability but also his leadership and experience to the Yeng Guiao-mentored team.
He now joins a squad still reeling from its latest semifinal exit in the Season 49 Philippine Cup, where they were knocked out by their nemesis, TNT Tropang 5G.

It also capped off a series near-miss for the Elasto Painters, who were eliminated in the semifinals of both the Governors' and Commissioner’s Cups as well, with TNT once again proving to be the team’s undoing in both tournaments.
With the Elasto Painters’ young guards, including Adrian Nocum, Anton Asistio, and Andre Caracut, beginning to emerge, Pringle will serve as a mentor, guiding them through the challenges of high-level competition.
His move to Rain or Shine marks his second team in just under a year. Pringle, alongside another champion veteran in Christian Standhardinger, went to Terrafirma Dyip in a deal that saw the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings acquire Stephen Holt and Isaac Go in July 2024.

Across 11 games with Terrafirma, Pringle averaged 13.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists during the season-ending Philippine Cup.
While wearing the Dyip jersey, he became the latest player this season to eclipse the 5,000-career point mark, joining reigning All-Filipino Finals MVP Chris Newsome of the Meralco Bolts.
