On the day he reached a new career milestone, Stanley Pringle could not save the Terrafirma Dyip from the jaws of defeat.
Stanley Pringle reached a milestone Wednesday, June 4.
With his basket at the 4:02 mark of the second period of Terrafirma's match against Rain or Shine in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup, Pringle became the 100th member of the 5,000-club.
League chief statistician Fidel Mangonon bared this on the same day.

Pringle, a four-time champion with Ginebra, is also the 15th to achieve this among active players and the 95th local to do so.
While he celebrated a personal feat, he couldn't give the same joyous celebration for his team, the Dyip, who surrendered an 84-95 loss to the Elasto Painters.
Pringle finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and two steals, but his all-around effort proved futile as the also-ran squad slipped to a ninth straight loss for a 1-9 mark.

With the Terrafirma franchise likely to be sold to the Zamboanga Valientes at the end of the season, Pringle could be the first and only Dyip to join the elite scorers' club.
