TNT head coach Chot Reyes refused to make any comment with regard to the Mikey Williams-Jordan Heading trade.

“I don’t want to comment on it until it gets approval,” said Reyes, after TNT’s fifth straight win at NorthPort’s expense on Friday, May 30, in the PBA Philippine Cup.

Just a few days ago, reports surfaced about the one-on-one trade with Converge, which will see the Tropang 5G finally resolve the Williams riddle.

If approved by the league, Williams should be set for his PBA return after winning the 2023 Governors' Cup with TNT. Both sides have been on a contract stalemate since.

In exchange, TNT is bound to acquire another high-caliber cager in Heading, who was a candidate for the Best Player of the Conference award with Converge in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup.

Heading, though, has yet to see action in the ongoing Philippine Cup due to injury.

In a previous interview, Converge coach Franco Atienza also shared a similar sentiment.

“Well, right now, the situation is Jordan is still with Converge,” said Atienza, whose squad completed a come-from-behind 117-103 win over Terrafirma Wednesday, May 28.

Until the league approves the deal between the two teams looking to go all the way this conference, Reyes said his lips are sealed.

“It’s now with the PBA office. I will reserve my comments for that,” he said.
