With the playoff race heating up in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters eye a crucial bounce-back win as they clash with the Phoenix Fuel Masters on Wednesday, May 28.

Gametime is set at 7:30 p.m. at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

Currently at 4-3, Rain or Shine knows there's little room for error as the middle of the standings remains tightly packed.

Coming off a 103-111 defeat to TNT, the Elasto Painters will need to regain their footing to solidify their chances of at least clinching a playoff spot.

In that loss, Andrei Caracut (20 points, five rebounds), Gian Mamuyac (18 points, six rebounds, seven assists, and two steals), and Jhonard Clarito (17 points) led the way for Rain or Shine, which pushed TNT until the final minutes but couldn’t quite get over the hump.

Phoenix, sitting at 2-5, is reeling from back-to-back losses and desperate for a turnaround.

But with momentum, motivation, and more at stake, Rain or Shine will be looking to take care of business — and take another step toward the postseason.
