Javee Mocon is staying put in NLEX.

This after Mocon inked a one-year extension with the Road Warriors on Thursday, May 22.

Though he only joined the team last year, Mocon is a home with NLEX, playing for his third PBA team alongside fellow former San Beda standouts like Baser Amer and Robert Bolick.

"I'm really happy and grateful for this contract extension with NLEX," said Mocon, who finished with 10 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and a steal as a starter in the team's 88-83 win over Converge in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday, May 23.

”I think it shows the direction we're headed and the culture we're building here. NLEX already feels like family—especially with so many of my fellow San Beda Red Lions around.”

It was really an easy decision for the NLEX management, which is getting 9.5 points, 4.67 rebounds, and 2.67 assists from the 30-year-old in the ongoing All-Filipino.

"After a year with us, Javee is really starting to blossom into becoming one of our leaders. He’s blending well into the system and stepping up when we need him,” said NLEX governor Ronald Dulatre.

“We can’t wait to see what more he can show in the coming seasons. His best is definitely yet to come.”

Mocon, who hails from Guagua, Pampanga, couldn’t wait to repay the team’s trust.

“I’m thankful to coach Jong [Uichico] and the entire coaching staff for believing in me. Of course, I’m also deeply grateful to Boss Luis, Boss Arrey, and Boss Gov Ronald for their trust and support,” he said.
