Just weeks after helping TNT win back-to-back championships in the PBA’s 49th season, RR Pogoy reached a personal milestone even better than a trophy.

Pogoy was on cloud nine after his wife, Love, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Friday, April 25.

The TNT gunner felt so happy he cried upon seeing Roger Raynn open his eyes for the first time.

“Sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam. Nung nakita ko nga, lumabas 'yung baby, naiyak talaga ako,” he said.

At that moment, he already envisions his second child playing basketball in the not-so-distant future.

“Kasi ma-feel mo, gusto mong turuan ng basketball. Gusto mong sumunod sa'yo,” he said.

“Oo nga, nung lumabas ganun 'yung nasa isip ko eh, sabi ko, 'Basketball player 'to.’”

While he badly wants Roger Raynn to follow in his footsteps, there’s no way the 32-year-old Cebuano hotshot will nudge him into this path.

“Hindi ko pipilitin. Hindi ko pipilitin, kung anong gusto niya. Basta mag-basketball siya,” he said with a laugh.

That will be a conversation for later among the Pogoys, though.

For now, the four-time PBA champion is just glad his daughter, Louvie, will finally have a playmate at the Pogoy household.
