Kib Montalbo’s transfer to Blackwater Bossing was finalized earlier this year, following a trade centered around Rey Nambatac.
His stay with the TNT Tropang Giga gave him his first pair of PBA championships, and after two UAAP titles with De La Salle, Kib can confidently say that he’s won at all levels.
That winning experience will be handy, as Kib is looking to bank on his command on the court to infuse a different energy with the Bossing.
As a franchise looking to find consistent footing in the PBA, having a player like Montalbo with rich playoff experience just might be the spark they need.
But who is Kib anyway? Even as a veteran, there’s more to learn about PBA players, and Montalbo shared some of his secrets in a quick chat with One Sports.
For his pre-game routine after eating breakfast, the point guard ensures to get some sleep in no matter how long his slumber the night before already was–energizing and fueling him for an upcoming game day.
“I usually eat a lot of pasta–carbo-loading…” Montalbo shared, as he also gives a shoutout to his nutritionist who’s responsible for this meal plan.
If that’s not enough to get hyped up for a game, Kib also has an all-rap music playlist to get him going.
“Kendrick Lamar,” he mentions.
