In a tight battle featuring multiple deadlocks and lead exchanges  and with neither San Miguel nor Meralco posting advantages of more than eight points  it was the Beermen who prevailed.

Leaning on the game-long heroics of CJ Perez and the sharpshooting skills of Marcio Lassiter for the match-winning triple, San Miguel equalized its best-of-seven PBA Season 48 Philippine Cup finals clash with the Bolts to 1-1.

CJ Perez soars for a layup.

Raymond Almazan and the rest of the Meralco big men pull out all the stops against San Miguel behemoth June Mar Fajardo.

The Meralco faithful cheer on Chris Banchero and the rest of the Bolts.

June Mar Fajardo scores on a one-handed slam in the dying seconds of the third quarter.

Defense is the name of the game for Meralco.

Former Most Valuable Player Arwind Santos is in attendance to support his former team, San Miguel.

Cliff Hodge lets out a roar.

Marcio Lassiter, well on track of topping the league's all-time three-points made list, bails San Miguel out of trouble with the game-winning triple.

CJ Perez finishes with a playoff career-best 34 points.

The loss spoils Cliff Hodge's 25-point, nine rebound showing for Meralco.
