There is no doubt in Luigi Trillo’s mind that Bong Quinto deserves to display his skills in the PBA All-Star Game.

This after Quinto salvaged Meralco from the jaws of defeat with a sterling performance that saw him come through in the clutch for the Bolts' 86-83 win over Terrafirma in the PBA Season 48 Philippine Cup on Wednesday, April 3.

“He should be there,” said Trillo, who interfered when his ward was asked if his string of great performances were a testament to be in that elite cast next year.

“Sana mga fans din can vote because he’s been with us so much; he deserves to be there. Hopefully, one day, he will.”

Trillo believes Quinto possess qualities that are worthy of an All-Star nod from the public.

“[He’s a] humble guy, works hard. A good example to everyone. Sana maboto siya doon. I’d like to see him enjoy that also,” Trillo said of the former Letran Knight.

“Palagi na lang si Raymond [Almazan], eh,” Trillo added with a smile.

“Iba namang Letranista, 'di ba? I have no doubt he will get there.”

As for Quinto, he would never shy away should an opportunity arise.

“Sino bang player ang ayaw ma-vote sa ganyan? Privilege 'yan. Pero kung anong ibigay sa'kin ni Lord iga-grab ko lang,” said Quinto.
