Barangay Ginebra San Miguel superstar Scottie Thompson has a new bundle of joy, announcing the birth of his second baby boy, Schyler Austin, with wife Jinky on their social media accounts Tuesday.

Scottie and Jinky already had their firstborn Scot Alystair Thompson, or “Aster,” last May 2023, and announced before the year ended that they were expecting another boy.

The PBA Season 46 MVP gave gratitude to his wife for her “sacrifice” throughout the journey and vowed to show more “understanding and compassion” in Jinky’s post-partum period.

“Thank you for all of your sacrifice[s]. I see all of your pain, struggles and swing of your emotions but you still manage na intindihin ako sa lahat ng mga shortcomings ko. Thank you for everything my love! I promise na mas iintindihin kita specially this post-partum period mo. I promise to care of you at babies natin habang nagrerecover ka! We love you so much mommy!!,” the post read.

Iskati's former Gilas and Ginebra teammates extended their congratulatory remarks shortly after the announcement.

“Congrats 🙏🏿,” Ginebra’s resident teammate Justin Brownlee wrote.

“Congrats dong!!?,” Gilas teammate and seven-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo commented.

The San Miguel Beermen trio of Chris Ross, CJ Perez and Jericho Cruz also acknowledged the newest blessing for Thompson.

Before the arrival of Schyler Austin, the seven-time PBA champion always shared a glimpse of their happy family with Aster, including their trip to Japan last October.

On the court, Thompson has still yet to play for Ginebra in the ongoing PBA Philippine Cup due to a back injury. Despite the absence of Thompson, Brgy. Ginebra managed to stay in the fourth spot of the team standings behind a 3-1 win-loss record.

Congratulations again on another blessing in life, Scottie!
