While the brightest stars eventually fade into the darkness of the night sky, we are definitely sure that James Yap is not one of these celestial bodies.

The PBA legend continues to shine even after 20 phenomenal years and counting in the PBA.

It does not matter what team he plays for, Purefoods, Rain or Shine, and now with Blackwater, the 42 year-old former two-time MVP is a star among All-Stars, as proven by his appearance in the annual PBA showcase for the 18th year to match his iconic jersey number.

With his 18 appearances, Big Game James Yap holds the record for most All-Star nods by a PBA player.

James Yap expressed his gratitude to his fans on a recent Instagram post.

18 of 18… YAP! We just made history as the record-holder player with the most ALL STAR PBA appearances… and I owe it all to you.🙏🏽🎉 Thank you to those who have been voting for me for 18 years straight! 🙌🏽💪🏽 Damo nga Salamat Negros for an unforgettable weekend! 👍🏼 #pbaallstar2024,” he wrote.

Congrats manong 🙌🏾,” Blackwater teammate Rey Nambatac commented.

"Congrats!!," former Rain or Shine Elasto Painter Chris Tiu greeted.

“Respect 🫡” his former Rain or Shine teammate, Gabe Norwood, added.

His 18th PBA All-Star appearance is definitely a BIG achievement for Big Game James.

And just like a star, James’ legacy will continue to shine.
