Team Greats banked on new-found chemistry as they outran and outshot the young Team Stalwarts, 142-133, in Bacolod on Saturday.

Justin Arana exploded for 36 points and eight rebounds in the Rookies-Sophomores-Juniors affair.

Team Greats led by Alec Stockton and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser led the charge during the first quarter, but Team Stalwarts was able to fight back to end the frame, 45-39.

Enter the second quarter, the Greats were able to fight back with four baskets from Justin Arana.

Joshua Munzon though, played point for the Stalwarts as he made steals and dimes for JM Calma and Kim Aurin.

Calma, the new Obstacle Course king, was able to pick up six points from this. Another timely Stephen Holt bucket allowed the Greats to snatch the lead.

However, Jerrick Ahanmisi chose this time to erupt for back-to-back threes and give the Greats the 78-73 lead at halftime.

By the start of the third frame, the Stalwarts had renewed energy and kept the Greats scoreless for a spell. Kim Aurin even went for back-to-back and got six points straight for the Stalwarts.

The two teams got scrappier in diving for the ball by the fourth quarter as the score got close. It was in this frame that Arana sank four baskets to pull away for the Greats.

A Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser dunk sealed the deal, allowing for a mini-dunk contest in the dying seconds.

Team Greats won P100,000 for their effort.
