PBA All-Star | Raymond Almazan shoots his way to inaugural Three-Point Shootout: Big Men Edition title

Rak 'en rol! Raymond Almazan of the Meralco Bolts is hailed the inaugural Three-Point Shootout: Big Men Edition champion in Bacolod on Saturday.

In the first round, Christian David of the Blackwater Bossing and Isaac Go of the Terrafirma Dyip led with 20 points. Raymond Almazan of the Meralco Bolts and Dave Marcelo of the NLEX Road Warriors tied next with 17 points.

Keith Zaldivar of the Converge FiberXers and JM Calma of the NorthPort Batang Pier were unable to make the cut with 16. Ralph Cu of the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and June Mar Fajardo of the San Miguel Beermen fell with 15. Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser of the TNT Tropang Giga and James Laput of the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots dropped to last with nine and six respectively.

In the final round, David made an impressive challenge with 15 points. But Almazan found his sweet stroke, making 19 points much to the delight of teammate Chris Newsome.

Dave Marcelo tried to fight back but was only able to make 16. Isaac Go could not put up a challenge with 13.

Almazan will be going home with P30,000.
