Since being selected fourth overall in the 2012 PBA Draft, Cliff Hodge had not made the All-Star team. Well, until now.
Cliff Hodge admitted getting affected by a PBA All-Star snub year in, year out when he was younger.
It took him a while, but the fourth overall pick of the 2012 Draft eventually learned not to be bothered anymore.
That’s why the 36-year-old baller was shocked upon learning of his inclusion in the All-Star Game in Bacolod on Sunday, March 24.
It doesn’t mean he’s not happy, though.
“It’s kinda cool. So I’m happy I got selected for the first time,” Hodge said.
The energizer bunny was so happy he had to postpone a vacation with his wife.
“I’m so used to not making the All-Star so I was already planning on going on vacation. I had to change those plans right away,” he said. “It was really unexpected. When I saw my name on the list, I was like ‘Oh wow, I made the All star!’”
He will join Team Mark, which features the likes of San Miguel's seven-time MVP June Mar Fajardo, TNT gunner Calvin Oftana, and Magnolia’s Calvin Abueva.
