It's part of growing up for the youthful Bossing.
Blackwater Bossing coach Jeff Cariaso was all smiles when he greeted members of the media at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum after their 125-117 loss to the San Miguel Beermen on Friday.
Cariaso remained upbeat even after Blackwater Bossing ended their PBA Commissioner’s Cup campaign with their 10th straight loss, putting them last in the field with a 1-10 mark.
Amid the string of defeats, the youthful Blackwater side gained something valuable.
“Everyone got better. Everyone has improved,” Cariaso said, talking about his squad.
And in their hopes of climbing the PBA ladder, failure is part of the grand design for the Bossing.
Cariaso couldn’t help but feel thrilled about what the future holds for his team, which feature young guns like Christian David, Rey Suerte, Ato Ular, and James Kwekuteye.
“The take from this is there’s a lot of growth we need to go through. We really are developing,” he said.
“We’re learning our identity, how we wanna move forward. Really truly excited about our young core.”
