Justin Brownlee is showing what people can expect from the ballers of St. John's Red Storms.

The Gilas Pilipinas and longtime Barangay Ginebra San Miguel import was recently named an equity partner for Johnnies Collective, a group that supports the student-athletes of St. John's University in Queen's New York.

Brownlee played for St. John's from 2009 to 2011. And he's rubbing shoulders with 2010 NBA champion Metta World Peace in this worthwhile initiative.

The officials of Johnnies Collective have nothing but praise for Brownlee and what he can bring to the table.

"They can look any player in the eye and share their experience about how to navigate playing pro anywhere in the world," said president and founder Jawed Halepota to Hoops HD.

"He was in the D-League, then hired an agent who got him to the Philippines, and is a legend there who leads their national team as a Filipino citizen and is referred to as the Michael Jordan of the Philippines!" he exclaimed.

"They add 275K+ followers to our reach when they repost anything we send out on Instagram so having them as equity partners was an intricate part of our team-build."

#PinoyPride, indeed.

Trust Pinoys to gobble up the love for anything Filipino related.

They're actually doing it for a pretty good cause, helping the athletes of St. John's to get sponsorships and partnerships after the US National Collegiate Athletic Association allowed players to engage in Name/Image/Likeness (NIL) deals.

Hey, can't get any better model than a six-time PBA champion and an Asian Games basketball gold medalist to boot.
