The TNT Tropang Giga are set to defend their PBA Governors’ Cup crown as the new PBA season unfolds in November.
While TNT will have Rondae Hollis-Jefferson in the squad for the upcoming conference, all eyes will also be on two-time Finals MVP Mikey Williams—and it seems like he’s also getting ready for the season.
In his Instagram story, Williams reposted videos of him working out in Los Angeles with Milo Academy, run by basketball trainer Christian "Milo" dela Cruz.
Mikey was filmed shooting some free throws to end his training session on Monday.
This counts as a welcome sign for the Tropang Giga, who faced some issues bringing Williams back into the fold last season.
Williams, who was eyed by Tim Cone to be part of the Gilas Pilipinas squad competing in the Asian Games, will be an integral piece to TNT’s championship aspirations.
As coach Chot Reyes returns to his coaching position in TNT, the two should already be familiar with one another, having won a championship back in 2021.
