Perhaps Magnolia will keep him longer?
Joseph Eriobu knew he always had to be at his best whenever he laced up for the Magnolia Hotshots in the PBA On Tour.
The former Perpetual Altas standout did just that.
In 10 games, he normed 10.4 points and 2.8 rebounds before capping off the preseason tourney with 15 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field in Magnolia's 106-92 win over the Terrafirma Dyip on Wednesday.
It turns out, Eriobu, who had stops at Terrafirma (then known as Mahindra), Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters, and Blackwater Bossing, is “under observation” at Magnolia.
“Sobrang halaga po nung binibigay ni Coach Chito (Victolero) na opportunity kasi under observation ako sa Magnolia,” he said after the match at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
“Ang iniisip ko lang talaga pag ipasok ako ni Coach Chito kailangan may magawa ako. Hindi lang sa points, basta ‘yung intangibles, like hustle sa depensa,” Eriobu added.
The Southeast Asian Games 3x3 basketball silver medalist has gotten comfortable playing alongside seasoned cagers like Mark Barroca, Paul Lee, and Jio Jalalon.
Now, he is hopeful he has made a lasting impression.
