Barangay Ginebra San Miguel’s Scottie Thompson has lately been rocking an exclusive player edition of the ST1, which the reigning MVP calls “ST1 Easter Sunday.” It is a mix-matched pair, with one sporting an orange colorway and the other having a teal tone.

The Ginebra guard will likely be wearing that pair come Game 1 of the PBA Governors’ Cup finals on April 9, which of course is Easter Sunday. He might even rock the same pair for Game 2.

Come Game 3, though, Thompson might just debut a new ST1 colorway—black with shades of Ginebra’s familiar red and white. It is the same pair the Gilas mainstay recently teased on his Instagram, where he also identified the new colorway’s release date: April 15.

Thompson, in the same Instagram post, revealed that the black-red colorway will be called “The Shot” and that more details about the fire pair will soon be released.

This early, it appears quite a handful fans are already looking forward to ST1’s “The Shot.” Some, in fact, appear to be calling on Thompson and World Balance to provide more stocks of the signature shoe’s newest colorway as previous colorways have routinely sold out quite fast.

World Balance first signed Ginebra’s dynamic floor general back in 2021, making him the brand’s first local basketball endorser since the great Philip Cezar. The partnership has since proven successful, with the ST1 line already released in several colorways, including the very popular “Reign” version that came out last December.
