Before the duo of Japeth Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger, there was the Eric Menk and Rudy Hatfield frontcourt tandem for Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.

Many Ginebra fans know the two given all they have done for the team back in the early 2000s.

Menk, for one, has a long list of PBA accolades, most of them he achieved while with Team NSD—four-time champion, three-time Finals MVP, three-time Best Player of the Conference, and 10-time All-Star.

Hatfield was primarily known for his intensity, hustle, and defense, but he has quite the resume, too. He is a three-time PBA champion, Finals MVP, Best Player of the Conference, three-time All-Star, and a Defensive Player of the Year.

But did you know that during their heyday, they met with one of the biggest and most popular stars in the WWE?

In this photo shared by PH Sports Bureau on Facebook, Menk and Hatfield were spotted with Christopher Keith Irvine, better known as Chris Jericho.

How or why they were with Chris Jericho is still a mystery, but it’s definitely a good throwback for Ginebra and WWE fans.

Hatfield himself was a huge wrestling fan. He even turned a post-game interview into a WWE-like promo. Some say it's the best interview the PBA has ever seen, and it's hard to argue that.

Menk and Hatfield also have monikers that would have cut it for the WWE. Major Pain and H-Bomb? Sounds like the names of tag team champions.

And if they add Jericho's overall wrestling talent to Menk’s strength and Hatfield’s charisma, those three would have given The Bloodline a run for their money if they meet in the ring. Don't you think?
