Encho Serrano wants to make it known: not only can he deliver in the clutch for the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters in games, he can make dunks too.

The PBA has confirmed to sources on Friday noon that Serrano will be joining the cast of the PBA Slam Dunk Competition, which was earlier reduced to four.

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel's Jamie Malonzo, who already showcased his slams last month for Gilas Pilipinas, has pulled out due to shoulder pains. He, however, vowed to participate in the All-Star Game on Sunday.

That left David Murrell of the Converge FiberXers, Tyrus Hill of the Blackwater Bossing, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser of the NLEX Road Warriors, and Chris Lalata of the Phoenix Super LPG as the contenders for the slam dunk throne.

PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said Serrano had expressed his intention to join despite having ankle issues, according to PBA.ph. The league gave him until today.

With these young bucks, here's to a stunning Slam Dunk Competition.
